LPW Technology is a UK-origin additive manufacturing materials company focused on the development, processing, manufacture, and supply of metal powders for industrial 3D printing. The company built its business around ultra-clean metal powders optimized for powder-bed and laser/electron-beam additive manufacturing, along with powder lifecycle management, traceability software, and related handling solutions. LPW serves industrial end markets including aerospace, automotive, energy, and biomedical manufacturing rather than developing therapeutics or healthcare products. In October 2018, LPW Technology was acquired by Carpenter Technology and has since operated within Carpenter Additive, with the LPW legal entity remaining active in the UK. Its capabilities include powder manufacturing, processing, distribution, and additive manufacturing part production with services such as HIP, heat treatment, and machining.
