LSU Health Care Services Division

LSU Health Care Services Division (HCSD) is a division of the LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans (LSUHSC-NO) that oversees public healthcare delivery and hospital management in Louisiana. Historically the operator of the state's public "charity" hospital system, HCSD currently governs the Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center and manages the legacy operations and public-private partnerships of several former LSU hospitals. The division focuses on providing high-quality medical care to the uninsured and underinsured populations while supporting the clinical education and residency programs of LSU Health. HCSD also leads initiatives in healthcare effectiveness, medical informatics, and population health management to improve patient outcomes across the state. Its operations are integrated with the broader research and academic missions of the LSU Health Sciences Center.
