LuxBiome

LuxBiome is a Luxembourg-based biotechnology company focused on developing microbiome-based diagnostics and therapeutics for chronic inflammatory and metabolic diseases. A spin-off from the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) at the University of Luxembourg, the company leverages its proprietary HuMiX platform, a representative in vitro model of the human gastrointestinal interface. This technology allows for the co-culturing of human cells with complex microbial communities under physiological conditions, enabling the discovery of novel microbial-derived molecules and consortia. LuxBiome aims to translate microbiome research into precision medicine solutions, targeting conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and neurodegenerative disorders through the gut-brain axis.
