Company intelligence / Profile preview
Lynapharm was a French specialty pharmaceutical company focused on commercializing and managing branded neuropsychiatric medicines. The company was founded by Frédéric Mascha as a joint venture with Italy's Sigma-Tau and operated in approximately 22 countries. Publicly available historical sources indicate that Lynapharm built its business around acquired psychiatric products, including assets sourced from Pfizer, Novartis, and Astellas. In 2008, Sigma-Tau acquired full ownership of Lynapharm, after which Mascha went on to found Juvisé Pharmaceuticals. Lynapharm appears to have been a commercial-stage company rather than a drug discovery biotech, with emphasis on product rights, manufacturing, and marketing of established CNS therapies.
