MagCath is a medical device company focused on improving the safety and accuracy of catheter placement in neonatal and pediatric patients. The company's flagship technology is a magnetic guidance system designed to navigate peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) to the correct anatomical position without the use of ionizing radiation. This innovative approach aims to eliminate the reliance on X-ray fluoroscopy, thereby protecting vulnerable infants from the harmful effects of cumulative radiation exposure. By providing real-time, non-radiographic feedback, the MagCath system streamlines the bedside procedure and reduces the need for multiple repositioning attempts.
