Company intelligence / Profile preview
Magnus Life Science was a London-based biotechnology company and incubator founded in 2013 in collaboration with University College London (UCL). The company operated under a unique "spin-in" model where individual therapeutic programs were established as separate special purpose vehicles (SPVs) with founding scientists as shareholders. Its portfolio focused on areas of high unmet medical need related to blood flow, including gene therapy for fetal growth restriction, injectable treatments for reperfusion injury, and bio-magnetic stents. Despite securing significant seed funding and European Commission grants, the company and its primary subsidiaries were dissolved in 2024.
