Malaysia Genome Institute

The Malaysia Genome and Vaccine Institute (MGVI) is a premier research organization under the National Institutes of Biotechnology Malaysia (NIBM). Operating as a non-profit Company Limited by Guarantee, MGVI focuses on high-throughput sequencing, bioinformatics, and synthetic biology to address challenges in human health, agriculture, and industrial biotechnology. The institute leads major national initiatives such as the MyGenom project, which aims to sequence 10,000 Malaysian genomes to establish a reference baseline for precision medicine.
