Marigold Acquisitions

Marigold Acquisitions Inc. was a privately-held holding company that became a central entity in the international expansion of the medical cannabis industry. Originally incorporated in British Columbia, the company held a significant 49% stake in Marigold Projects Jamaica Limited, which possessed multiple licenses for the cultivation, processing, and research of medical cannabis in Jamaica. In 2018, Marigold Acquisitions was acquired by Scythian Biosciences (now SOL Global Investments) and subsequently sold to Aphria Inc. (now part of Tilray) as part of a major strategic deal involving Latin American and Caribbean assets. The company's assets included research and development partnerships with the University of the West Indies focused on the efficacy of cannabinoid-based therapies for chronic conditions.
