Markman Biologics

Markman Biologics developed a patented microsurfacing technology for enhancing the performance of reconstructive tissue grafts. Preclinical animal studies suggested improved cellular response with microsurfaced grafts. A clinical study in dental applications was nearing completion by late 2024. The company received FDA confirmation that its products qualify under section 361 HCT/P regulations, allowing sales into certain markets including the U.S. military. However, the company and its CEO were charged by the SEC with securities fraud related to unregistered offerings and misappropriation of investor funds between 2019–2022. In early/mid 2024, it appears that intellectual property assets were moved under a new entity called CellTherX Corp., which is now licensing this technology into dental markets via Osteogenics' Cytoplast Microderm product line.
