This product, later branded as Sialanar, was designed to treat severe sialorrhea (chronic drooling) in children and adolescents with chronic neurological disorders. In 2012, Marlborough was acquired by Clinigen Group for an initial cash consideration of £1.1 million plus deferred payments. The acquisition allowed Clinigen to secure its first owned licensed product, marking a transition toward becoming a specialty pharma leader.
