The Marr Group is a private investment and development company, historically significant in the biotechnology and healthcare sectors through its strategic investments and joint ventures. The group is most recognized for its role in founding Beijing Marr Bio-Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., a joint venture with Calypte Biomedical Corporation that established a major manufacturing hub in China for rapid diagnostic technologies. This partnership led to the development of the Aware™ HIV-1/2 OMT, the first oral fluid-based rapid HIV test to receive SFDA approval in China.
