Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI) is the research division of Marshfield Clinic Health System and the largest private medical research institute in Wisconsin. Founded in 1959, the institute specializes in clinical research, precision medicine, and epidemiology, with a unique focus on rural and agricultural health. It is home to the Personalized Medicine Network, which maintains one of the largest internal biobanks in the United States, linking genetic data to longitudinal electronic health records. MCRI is internationally recognized for its long-standing partnership with the CDC in conducting vaccine effectiveness and safety studies.
