Company intelligence / Profile preview
The Maryland Health Care Product Development Corporation (MHDC) was a state-chartered quasi-public entity established by the Maryland General Assembly in 1994. Its primary mission was to stimulate the growth of the life sciences and healthcare technology sectors within Maryland by providing early-stage seed funding and venture capital to promising startups. MHDC focused on bridging the funding gap for companies developing innovative medical devices, diagnostics, and therapeutic products. In 2005, the corporation was merged into the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) to consolidate the state's technology investment efforts.
