MaSTherCell

MaSTherCell is a prominent contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) dedicated to the cell and gene therapy industry. Founded in 2011 as a spin-off from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, the company provides specialized services including process development, clinical-stage manufacturing, and commercial production. MaSTherCell is recognized for its expertise in optimizing complex manufacturing workflows for advanced therapies such as CAR-T, TCR-T, and various stem cell products. In 2020, the company was acquired by Catalent for $315 million to serve as a cornerstone of Catalent's global cell therapy network. It currently operates high-capacity facilities in Belgium and the United States, supporting biopharmaceutical clients from early-stage development through to market supply.
