Mat-A-Cell is a biotechnology company spun off from Hong Kong Baptist University that specializes in nanostructure-based medical devices for stem cell differentiation. The company's core technology, Mat A® Culture Nanomatrices, provides an extracellular environment that facilitates the transformation of stem cells into functional cells, such as neurons, without the risk of carcinogenicity or inflammation. This platform is designed to support the development of safer stem cell therapies for incurable diseases, including Parkinson's and other neurological disorders. Mat-A-Cell operates in Hong Kong and has expanded its presence into Mainland China through a subsidiary in Guangzhou.
