maxIT Healthcare was a premier independent healthcare information technology (HIT) consulting firm based in the United States. The company provided a broad suite of services including Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation, clinical optimization, and strategic IT consulting for healthcare providers. With a specialized workforce of over 1,300 consultants, it became one of the largest firms of its kind in North America, serving major hospital systems and medical groups. In 2012, the company was acquired by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) for approximately $493 million to strengthen its commercial health IT portfolio. Following the 2013 split of SAIC, the business was integrated into Leidos, where its expertise continues to drive healthcare digital transformation initiatives.
