Overview
Maxwell’s CLAROMER® compounds have demonstrated broad-spectrum efficacy against a wide range of viruses (including all tested Influenza and Coronaviruses), bacteria—including antibiotic-resistant strains—fungi and biofilms in preclinical animal models. The compounds act via selective membrane disruption of pathogens while sparing healthy cells. They are well tolerated at high doses in animal studies and human tissues ex vivo. A nasal spray candidate has completed successful animal studies sponsored by NIAID with positive FDA feedback; an oral formulation for GI infections is also under development.
