The Canadian Myeloma Research Group (CMRG), formerly known as the Myeloma Canada Research Network (MCRN), is a national academic research organization dedicated to advancing clinical research and improving outcomes for patients with multiple myeloma in Canada. The group coordinates a robust pipeline of multi-center clinical trials, including the MCRN-003 (MYX.1) study, which evaluates high-dose weekly carfilzomib in combination with cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone. CMRG collaborates extensively with the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG) and global pharmaceutical partners like Amgen, Janssen, and GSK to bring innovative therapies to Canadian patients. In addition to clinical trials, the organization maintains the CMRG Canadian Multiple Myeloma Database, a comprehensive national registry that provides real-world evidence to support health technology assessments and optimize patient care.
