MDS Diagnostic Services was a leading provider of laboratory and diagnostic imaging services, primarily operating in Canada and the United States. As a division of MDS Inc., it offered a wide range of clinical laboratory testing, including biochemistry, hematology, and microbiology, as well as specialized diagnostic imaging. In 2007, the Canadian operations of MDS Diagnostic Services were acquired by Borealis Infrastructure and subsequently rebranded as LifeLabs. This transition marked a significant consolidation in the Canadian healthcare services market, shifting the focus of the parent company toward life sciences products and nuclear medicine.
