MDS Life Sciences Technology Fund was a prominent venture capital fund managed by MDS Capital Corp, the investment arm of the Canadian life sciences giant MDS Inc. The fund specialized in providing equity financing to early- and growth-stage companies within the biotechnology, medical device, and healthcare services sectors. It was instrumental in fostering the Canadian life sciences ecosystem during the late 1990s and early 2000s by bridging the gap between research and commercialization. Following a strategic restructuring of the parent company, the management team eventually transitioned to become Lumira Ventures.
