Medi-Flex

Medi-Flex, which later rebranded as Enturia, was a healthcare company specializing in infection prevention products, most notably the ChloraPrep skin antiseptic system. The company developed a proprietary applicator technology that delivers a combination of chlorhexidine gluconate and isopropyl alcohol, which became a clinical standard for preoperative skin preparation. Its products are designed to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections, including surgical site infections and bloodstream infections. The company was acquired by Cardinal Health in 2008 for approximately $490 million, and its core product line is now part of Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD).
