Medica Korea is a South Korean pharmaceutical and bio-healthcare company specializing in the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of specialty and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines. Founded in 1976 as Dong-Il Pharmaceutical and renamed in 2000, the company operates as a subsidiary of Synergy Innovation (part of Sangsangin Group). Medica Korea produces over 120 therapeutic products across diverse areas, including dermatology, cardiovascular, metabolic, and musculoskeletal diseases, from its KGMP-certified facility in Hwaseong. In addition to its established commercial portfolio, the company actively collaborates with its sister affiliate Neurobiogen on the clinical development of KDS2010 (tisolagiline), a novel, highly selective, and reversible MAO-B inhibitor currently in Phase 2 trials for obesity, Alzheimer's disease, and PTSD. Medica Korea has also expanded into high-functioning medical cosmetics under its 'Medihera' brand and wellness products.
