Medical Aesthetics Technology

Medical Aesthetics Technology Corporation (MATC) was a biotechnology company focused on developing advanced aesthetic treatments using nanotechnology. In 2007, the company entered into a significant licensing agreement with BioSante Pharmaceuticals to develop and commercialize BioLook, a facial line filler based on proprietary calcium phosphate (CaP) nanotechnology. MATC was responsible for the clinical development, regulatory filings, and manufacturing of the CaP-based filler, which was designed to provide long-lasting and safe results for facial rejuvenation and volume restoration. Although the company showed early promise with its nanoparticle platform, it appears to have become inactive or dissolved in the years following its initial partnership.
