Medigard

MediGuard was a U.S. healthcare information and patient engagement company operated by iGuard that provided consumers with medication safety alerts, drug interaction warnings, recall notifications, and personalized medication risk information. The company built a large online patient community organized by medications and conditions, which also supported clinical research and trial recruitment activities. Founded in 2007 by Hugo Stephenson, the business was originally launched as iGuard.org and later branded as MediGuard. It became part of Quintiles Transnational and was used within Quintiles' digital patient and clinical research efforts. The business appears to have been commercialized as a service/platform rather than as a therapeutic developer, so it does not have a drug pipeline in the biotech sense.
