Medimetrics Personalized Drug Delivery

Medimetrics was a private drug-delivery and medical-device company focused on electronic oral drug delivery and gastrointestinal-targeted delivery technologies. Its core platform, IntelliCap, was a swallowable electronic capsule designed to enable controlled, site-specific delivery of drugs in the GI tract and to support in vivo research, formulation development, and modified-release studies for pharmaceutical and food industry customers. The company positioned itself as a pioneer in smart oral drug delivery rather than as a traditional therapeutics developer with a broad proprietary drug pipeline. Medimetrics also partnered with external research organizations to support clinical research applications of its capsule technology. The company's assets and intellectual property were acquired by Progenity in 2019, and the standalone Medimetrics business does not appear to be operating independently today.
