Medipharm Biotech Pharmaceutical is a Chinese biotechnology company that specialized in the development of monoclonal antibodies and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals for oncology. The company's lead product, Vivatuxin (Iodine-131 tumor necrosis therapy), was approved by the Chinese State Food and Drug Administration in 2006 for the treatment of liver cancer and advanced lung cancer, marking it as one of the first locally developed monoclonal antibody drugs in China. Its pipeline also featured chLym-1, a chimeric anti-HLA-DR monoclonal antibody that reached Phase II clinical trials for the treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Although a pioneer in the Chinese antibody drug space, recent regulatory filings in Bermuda indicate the company is currently undergoing strike-off procedures as of late 2025.
