Mediware

Mediware was a U.S. healthcare information technology company focused on software and services for complex care settings rather than a drug-development biotech or pharma business. Its products served blood banks, hospitals, pharmacies, home infusion, specialty pharmacy, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, and other post-acute and community care settings. The company expanded through acquisitions and positioned its offerings as integrated workflow and care-management solutions across the care continuum. Mediware was acquired in 2012 and later rebranded in September 2018 as WellSky, which consolidated Mediware, Kinnser, and more than 30 health IT brands under a single corporate identity. As a result, Mediware no longer operates as an independent active company brand, although legacy products and domains have persisted in some places.
