Mediwatch

Mediwatch was a UK medical device and diagnostics company focused on urology and gastrointestinal diagnostic products rather than drug development. The company developed, manufactured, and distributed products including urodynamics systems and disposables, bladder scanners, uroflowmeters, pelvic floor biofeedback equipment, anorectal manometry systems, and PSA testing equipment. Founded in 1996, it built a commercial business serving hospital, clinic, primary care, and home-diagnosis settings, with operations centered in Rugby, Warwickshire. Laborie Medical Technologies acquired Mediwatch in November 2013, and the former Mediwatch legal entity was later dissolved in March 2018. For a biotech analyst, this should be viewed as an acquired medtech/diagnostics business in pelvic health and GI diagnostics, not a therapeutics biotech company.
