MedStar Flight Operations

MedSTAR Transport is the air and ground medical transport division of MedStar Health, serving the Mid-Atlantic region including Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The program provides 24/7 critical care transport for patients requiring specialized medical intervention during transit between facilities or from accident scenes. Utilizing a fleet of medically equipped helicopters and ground ambulances, MedSTAR Transport employs highly trained flight nurses, paramedics, and pilots. The service specializes in trauma, cardiac, stroke, and neonatal intensive care transport, ensuring seamless continuity of care within the MedStar Health network and to other regional trauma centers. It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS).
