Melles Griot

Melles Griot is an optics and photonics business line focused on designing and manufacturing custom optical systems, illumination engines, and related components for OEM instrument developers. The brand is used within IDEX Health & Science and supports applications across life science, diagnostics, medical technology, and selected industrial markets. Its offerings include integrated imaging subsystems, laser engines, and optical designs used in tools such as fluorescence imaging and next-generation sequencing workflows. Historically part of the broader CVI Melles Griot organization, the Melles Griot business was acquired through IDEX Corporation's 2011 purchase of CVI Melles Griot and later integrated into IDEX Health & Science. Rather than a therapeutic developer, it is best understood as a commercial enabling-technology supplier to life science instrument companies.
