Mengniu

Mengniu is one of the world’s largest dairy companies, headquartered in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. It produces liquid milk, yogurt, ice cream, cheese, and milk powder for consumers across China and internationally. Through its subsidiary Synaura Biotechnology, it has pioneered biosynthetic human milk oligosaccharide (HMO) production—becoming the first Chinese company to receive GRAS status from the US FDA for its HMO ingredient 2'-Fucosyllactose. These innovations are used primarily in infant formula products such as Enzhi series and Future Star liquid milk for children. The company reported annual revenue of RMB 88.67 billion (~$13.8 billion USD) in 2024.
