Meningitis UK

Meningitis UK was a prominent United Kingdom-based charity dedicated to the eradication of meningitis through the funding of preventative research and public health awareness campaigns. Founded by Steve Dayman following the loss of his son to the disease, the organization focused heavily on the development of a vaccine for Meningitis B. In 2013, Meningitis UK merged with the Meningitis Trust to form Meningitis Now, creating the largest meningitis charity in the UK. The organization played a critical role in clinical research funding and successfully campaigned for the introduction of life-saving vaccines into the UK's national immunization program.
