Mental Health Consumer Survivor Network of Minnesota

The Mental Health Consumer Survivor Network of Minnesota (MHCSN) was a peer-led non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals living with mental health conditions. Founded in 1988, the organization focused on advocacy, peer support, and public education to empower those who have used mental health services. It provided a platform for individuals to share their lived experiences and influence mental health policy and practice within the state of Minnesota. The Network operated various programs, including support groups and leadership training, aimed at promoting recovery and reducing the stigma associated with mental illness. Although it was a significant force in the peer-run movement for over two decades, the organization is no longer active and was formally dissolved in 2013.
