Meram

Laboratoires Meram, commonly known as Meram, was a French pharmaceutical company specialized in hospital-administered therapies and specialty medicines. Established in 1923 and headquartered in Melun, France, the firm built a robust portfolio centered on infectiology, cardiovascular health, and emergency medicine. Meram was particularly recognized for its range of injectable antibiotics and critical care treatments utilized across European healthcare systems. In 2008, the company was acquired by Mylan for approximately $197 million to strengthen Mylan's presence in the specialty and hospital sectors. Today, its legacy products and operations are integrated into Viatris following the merger of Mylan and Upjohn.
