Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP) is a high-technology engine manufacturer primarily known for designing and building Formula One power units for Mercedes-Benz. Although its core business is automotive engineering, the company made a significant contribution to the healthcare sector during the COVID-19 pandemic by co-developing the UCL-Ventura CPAP device. In partnership with University College London, HPP utilized its rapid prototyping and precision manufacturing capabilities to produce thousands of respiratory aids in record time. This project highlighted the company's ability to apply advanced engineering and high-volume precision manufacturing to life-critical medical technology.
