Company intelligence / Profile preview
Mercy Philadelphia Hospital was a community teaching hospital located in West Philadelphia, originally founded in 1918 by the Sisters of Mercy. Formerly a part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, the facility underwent a significant transition in March 2021 to become the PHMC Public Health Campus on Cedar. This transformation was the result of a strategic partnership between Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), Penn Medicine, Independence Blue Cross, and Trinity Health. Today, the site continues to provide emergency services and inpatient care managed by Penn Medicine, alongside various community-based health and social services. The transition was designed to ensure the continued availability of critical healthcare resources for the West Philadelphia community.
