Mercy Hospital Springfield

Mercy Hospital Springfield is a large nonprofit acute-care hospital in Springfield, Missouri, and part of the Mercy health system. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1891, it serves southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas with a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, specialty, and physician-clinic services. The hospital markets major service lines including heart and vascular care, cancer care through the C.H. Chub O’Reilly Cancer Center, children’s services, women’s health, maternity care, stroke care, trauma, burn care, and orthopedics. It is a commercial health care delivery organization rather than a drug-development biotech or pharma company, so it does not have a traditional therapeutic pipeline. The hospital is known as a regional referral center and operates as one of the flagship facilities within Mercy’s Springfield communities.
