Merrell Dow Lepetit was a prominent pharmaceutical organization created in 1984 when Dow Chemical integrated its Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals division with the acquired Italian firm Gruppo Lepetit. Key products associated with this era include the non-sedating antihistamine Seldane and the antibiotic Rifadin. In 1989, the entity merged with Marion Laboratories to form Marion Merrell Dow, marking the end of the Merrell Dow Lepetit name.
