Metabiomics has developed a patented non-invasive stool-based diagnostic platform using next-generation sequencing of the human gut microbiome to detect colon polyps and colorectal cancer. Their lead product, the LifeKit® Prevent Test, received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation in September 2019. The company integrates advances in microbial ecology, DNA sequencing technology (MultiTag™), and computational systems biology to identify disease-associated microbial signatures. Clinical research collaborations are ongoing with leading medical institutions across North America, Europe, and Asia. No published pivotal clinical trial results or commercial launch as of June 2025.
