The Metabolic and Atherosclerosis Research Center (MARC) is a premier clinical research site and specialized contract research organization (CRO) based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded by Dr. Evan Stein, a world-renowned expert in lipidology, the center has been instrumental in the clinical development of nearly every major lipid-altering therapy currently on the market, including statins and PCSK9 inhibitors. In 2015, MARC was acquired by Medpace to enhance its global capabilities in cardiovascular and metabolic clinical trials. The center operates as a high-enrollment site for Phase I-IV studies, offering deep expertise in patient recruitment and specialized diagnostic procedures. MARC continues to serve as a critical hub for complex trials involving dyslipidemia, diabetes, and other atherosclerotic conditions.
