Metrics Contract Services is a pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization focused on oral solid dose products, including highly potent compounds. The company provides integrated services spanning formulation development, analytical testing, clinical trial material manufacturing, scale-up, packaging, and commercial manufacturing from its Greenville, North Carolina site. Historically, Metrics operated as a specialty CDMO serving biotech and pharmaceutical customers developing novel oral drug products. In 2022, Catalent acquired Metrics from Mayne Pharma for $475 million and integrated the Greenville facility into Catalent’s oral solids network. The business is best understood today as an acquired oral solids and potent-handling manufacturing operation within Catalent rather than as an independent drug developer.
