Equal Hope, formerly known as the Metropolitan Chicago Breast Cancer Task Force, is a Chicago-based non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating health disparities. Founded in 2007, the organization focuses on ensuring that all women, regardless of race or socioeconomic status, have access to high-quality breast and cervical cancer screenings and treatment. They achieve this through community outreach, provider education, and advocacy for policy changes. The organization gained national recognition for its data-driven approach to reducing the mortality gap between Black and white women in Chicago. In 2019, it rebranded to Equal Hope to reflect an expanded mission including other health inequities beyond breast cancer.
