Metropolitan Surgery Center

Metropolitan Surgery Center is a Medicare-certified ambulatory surgery center (ASC) located in Hackensack, New Jersey. The facility provides a wide range of outpatient surgical services, specializing in orthopedics, otolaryngology (ENT), urology, podiatry, and pain management. In 2012, the center was acquired by United Surgical Partners International (USPI), a major operator of short-stay surgical facilities. It currently operates as a joint venture between USPI, local physician investors, and the Hackensack Meridian Health network. Accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), the center is equipped with advanced technology for minimally invasive procedures. It also serves as a clinical training site for medical residency programs, including podiatric surgery through partnerships with institutions like Rutgers University.
