Company intelligence / Profile preview
The Mezey Howarth Group was a financial advisory and investor relations firm that specialized in providing strategic consulting and capital-raising services to micro-cap companies, particularly within the biotechnology and healthcare sectors. Founded and led by J. Wade Mezey and Paul Howarth, the firm was notably retained by GeneThera, Inc. in 2007 to manage investor communications and explore strategic acquisitions to enhance shareholder value. However, the partnership ended in a high-profile legal dispute after GeneThera terminated the arrangement, alleging that the group had issued unauthorized and misleading press releases. The firm also operated a subsidiary, Mezey Howarth Racing Stables, which focused on the acquisition and management of thoroughbred racehorses. Following the dissolution of the group's primary operations, its principals transitioned into executive roles in other sectors, including behavioral health and real estate investment.
