Company intelligence / Profile preview
Michael Reese Fertility Center was a pioneering reproductive medicine facility based in Chicago, Illinois, operating as part of the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center. Established in the early 1980s, it was one of the first centers in the United States to offer in vitro fertilization (IVF) and other advanced assisted reproductive technologies. The center was renowned for its clinical excellence and contributions to embryology research, helping to establish standards for fertility care. Following the financial decline and eventual closure of Michael Reese Hospital in 2009, the fertility center ceased operations. Its legacy persists through the many specialists who transitioned to other leading fertility institutions in the Midwest.
