Michigan Virtual BioPharma

Michigan Virtual BioPharma was a short-lived initiative launched in 2007 by the Michigan Life Science Network (MLSN) to create a collaborative, virtual business model for the state's life sciences industry. The entity was designed to function as a hub that connected the specialized capabilities of various Michigan-based biotech companies—including research, legal services, and manufacturing—to accelerate the commercialization of life science products. By leveraging a network of existing businesses rather than maintaining its own physical infrastructure or internal drug pipeline, the company aimed to reduce costs and increase efficiency for small and mid-sized firms. However, the initiative did not evolve into a sustained commercial biopharmaceutical company and is currently inactive.
