Micro Synbio

MicroSynbio, officially known as Beijing Micro-structure Factory, is a leading synthetic biology company specializing in the sustainable production of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) and other high-value bio-based chemicals. Founded in 2021 by Professor Chen Guoqiang of Tsinghua University, the company utilizes a proprietary "Next-Generation Industrial Biotechnology" (NGIB) platform based on engineered halophilic bacteria (Halomonas). This platform enables open, continuous, and non-sterile fermentation, which significantly reduces energy consumption and production costs compared to traditional biomanufacturing methods.
