Microbiota I-Centre

Microbiota I-Centre (MagIC) is a biotechnology company and research hub located in the Hong Kong Science Park, established through the HKSAR Government's InnoHK initiative. The organization specializes in the translation of human microbiome science into innovative diagnostic tools and therapeutic interventions. MagIC has successfully commercialized the M3CRC non-invasive colorectal cancer screening test and developed the SIM01 probiotic formula for immune modulation. By utilizing high-throughput metagenomic sequencing and proprietary bioinformatics, the center aims to address unmet medical needs in gastroenterology, metabolic health, and neurodevelopmental disorders. MagIC operates in close collaboration with The Chinese University of Hong Kong and international academic partners to advance personalized microbiome-based medicine.
