Microdermis was a life sciences company based in Princeton, New Jersey, that specialized in advanced dermatological products using its proprietary Amidermal technology. The company's flagship product, Provodine, is a long-acting, alcohol-free antiseptic cream that creates a molecular barrier on the skin to provide persistent protection against a broad spectrum of pathogens, including the Ebola virus and MRSA. Microdermis collaborated with the US Army (USAMRIID) to deploy Provodine during infectious disease outbreaks and conducted clinical trials for indications such as Hidradenitis Suppurativa. Despite its innovative approach to skin protection and infection control, the company is currently reported as out of business.
