Micrologix Biotech

Micrologix Biotech was a Canadian anti-infective biopharmaceutical company focused on developing peptide-based therapeutics and related anti-infective products. The company emerged from antimicrobial peptide research associated with the University of British Columbia and advanced multiple clinical programs, including MBI-226 for prevention of catheter-related infections and peptide candidates for dermatologic inflammatory conditions such as acne and rosacea. Public records indicate the company later operated as Migenix, and academic and historical sources further describe a later renaming to BioWest Therapeutics.
